I've been a hermit lately - I've been focused on writing!
I am in the building stage of my roadmap to finish this thing!
So, what does that entail? I have been working on the structure and re-working the story to fall nicely into a 3 book series. For the sake of crowdfunding, I am planning on distributing the story into issues first, then eventually I can do a separate Kickstarter for an anthology for book 1. I believe this approach makes the most sense as this is my first Kickstarter but also my first attempt at publishing. It will also be easier and cheaper to produce issues and get the story into people's hands faster.
I am working through issue lengths. I want them to be roughly the same number of pages and have a decent story payoff within each. Right now I have a three-act structure planned for each book and my thought was that each issue would make the most sense to be comprised of a single act, making it three issues per book. This might be cost-prohibitive though because my issue length will likely be too long for them to be considered 'issues' and not just small books. The other route I can take is just doing traditional comic book issues of 22/32 pages.
So I am working through this problem and looking at printers and the costs for printing!
Meanwhile, I have had some time to make this of the main character. Her name is Ari!
